T-28 Trojan

The "T-28 Trojan" replaced the AT-6/SNJ as a trainer for the Navy and the Air Force in 1955. The need to simulate jet airplanes ushered in the era of the T-28 as a trainer. By 1967 the T-28 was phased out bringing an end to propeller driven trainers. Today fighter cadets go directly into jet trainers.
