DeHaviland-82 Tiger Moth

The prototype D.H. 82A "Tiger Moth" flew for the first time in October 1931. When WWII broke out in 1939 more than 1000 were in service with the Royal Air Force elementary and reserve training schools. The majority of the Royal Air Force wartime pilots received their elementary training in these airplanes. The Tiger Moth remained with the Royal Air Force Training Command until 1947.
